OSADA was founded in 1935 in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, in the same location as it is today.
Today, we are expanding our business with the support of our many customers and partners.
1935-1946 The Founding Years
Our Founding Philosophy
"First and foremost, now we have started this business, we must make it a success."
We resolved to make quality products that performed well and, above all, to make sure that this business would never fail.
Thus, we started making products ourselves with jigs and tools (such as press dies), outsourcing only the materials, plating, and painting.
This was a groundbreaking approach for a small local factory in 1935 or 1936, and operations from design to manufacturing and sales were completely integrated.
In April 1935, OSADA ELECTRIC WORKS was founded in what is now Nishi-Osaki, Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo.
The first model, the 【SUCCESS】 electric engine, was completed and earned a solid reputation.

1947-1959 From the Ruins of War to Reconstruction
"Dental equipment for Japanese people"
Taking into account the physical build of Japanese people and how dentists worked, the 【Nobel】 was created through repeated refinements of its unique configuration and innovative design, which were unlike anything seen before.
It was based on motion studies of dental practice.
When OSADA's founder visited the United States in 1959, dental suction systems were already being produced and sold there.
In Japan, OSADA ELECTRIC took the lead by starting to manufacture products on its own, lighting a spark in the industry.
The factory was destroyed by fire during the war. In 1947, founder Tsutomu Osada converted his family's chicken coop into the Aichi Factory, and operations resumed.
The company manufactured and sold products such as the 【FOOT ENGINE】, the 【S-type height-adjustable treatment table】, the 【SWIVEL STOOL】, and the 【AIR TRON】【AIR TURBINE】.

That philosophy is still the same today."
In September 1960, construction of the new Nagoya Factory was completed.
We began manufacturing and selling the【VACUUM TRON】 suction device, the first such suction device developed in Japan. This laid the foundation for our main products, such as the 【ZOOM】 unit and the【BEAVER】 microengine.

1973-1988 A Period of High Economic Growth
"Working with dentists"
"We want our equipment to become an extension of the dentist's body."
OSADA does not mass-produce equipment, and it only enters markets where it can interact directly with dentists.
Simply taking orders is not enough. OSADA wants to be a company that can offer suggestions for the near future while working with dentists, becoming a facilitator of dental practice.
In September 1973, we began manufacturing and selling the 【SMILY】 unit.
This groundbreaking unit eliminated the unit's main body and integrated it with the chair.
The following year, in 1974, we began manufacturing and selling the 【UNIAUTO】 unit.
Along with the 【SMILY】, it became OSADA's new star product.

1989-1999 A Period of Expansion
Amidst an economic downturn, OSADA sought further expansion and new challenges as a medical equipment manufacturer.
We improved working conditions and created a system in which each and every employee could thrive.
In 1990, OSADA MEDICAL was established to expand sales channels in the medical and veterinary fields.
In 1997, the Ben Memorial Research Center was completed to as a new facility for development of our own brands.

2000-2020 New Development
Since 2000, we have continued to obtain various ISO certifications as a medical equipment manufacturer.
Instead of focusing solely on products, we provide services that are intended to impress customers and patients.
We are also actively working to reform our employees' working patterns, and we continue to seek to be "a company beloved by both employees and customers."
Rather than offering individual products, we have developed product lines particularly for geriatric dentistry, visiting dental care, dentistry for the disabled, and dental hygienists, and we are expanding those product lines in accordance with societal conditions.
In addition, we have developed our first-ever app and we deliver a variety of information targeting dental hygienists.

2021-Present Company Consolidation and a Logo Redesign
OSADA CO.,LTD. was established as a holding company.
Its logo was redesigned and its slogan was changed.
OSADA MEDICAL and OSADA SERVICE were consolidated into OSADA ELECTRIC CO., LTD.
We intend to further strengthen our organizational structure to create better working conditions for employees and to chart a direction for the Company as a whole.
